Nellie M. Unger, 98, of Frostburg, passed away Thursday, November 8, 2018 at home.
Born February 23, 1920 in Eckhart, she is preceded in death by parents, Ervin Snyder and Julia (Dayton) Snyder; husband, Willard B. Unger; and son, Raymond W. Unger.
Mrs. Unger worked at the Slumberland Motel for twenty-five years and retired after working in the Housekeeping Department at Frostburg State College for seven years. She was also a homemaker.
Surviving are daughter, Sandra “Sandy” Lantz and friend Charles Smith, Cumberland, son, Dennis “Denny” Unger and wife Ellen “Sis”, Flintstone, 12 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren and numerous great great grandchildren.
Family and friends will be received at Durst Funeral Home P.A., 57 Frost Avenue, Frostburg, MD on Wednesday, November 14th from 3 P.M. to 5 P.M.
A private funeral service will be conducted by Rev. Bruce McBride and Rev. Seth Wharton.
Serving as pallbearers will be Dena May Unger, Denise Marie Weller, Janelle Lee Knieriem, Jamie Lynn Knieriem, Kenny Edward Werner and Denny Unger.
Interment will be in Frostburg Memorial Park.
