It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of Thomas and Alice Skidmore.
Tom was born May 31, 1936 to George and Edna (Duckworth) Skidmore. Tom passed away May 1, 2022. He is preceded in death by brothers, Bill and George and sisters, Maryland, Olive, Betty, and Rose.
Alice was born November 20, 1935 to Edwin and Sarah (Allen) Parry. Alice passed away December 28, 2025. She is preceded in death by siblings, Ed Parry and Mary Raygor. Surviving is her brother, Tom Parry.
Tom and Alice were married June 4, 1955. Tom retired from PPG and was a member of the
Ali Ghan Shrine club. He was an accomplished trumpet player, playing in numerous bands including The Classics and The Odd Couple.
Alice was a member of the Daughters of the Nile. She was awarded "the most beautiful person" award for leading a campaign to increase the monthly personal need allowance for nursing home residents.
Both were members of St. John's Episcopal Church and volunteered for many organizations. Tom and Alice are predeceased by grandson, Jeremy Skidmore.
Surviving are her sons; Thomas E. Skidmore and wife Jackie and Paul G. Skidmore; grandsons, Tommy (Meredith), Joshua, John, Cody and Travis; precious great grandson Cody and loving niece, Julie McKenzie, who has always shown unwavering support. And numerous nieces and nephews.
We wish to thank the nurses and staff at Frostburg Rehab Center.
Visitation will be at Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Ave, on Friday, January 2, 2026 from 10:00 to 11:00 am with a funeral service following with Celebrant Peg Marshall officiating.
Inurnment will be in St. John's Episcopal Church.
