Catherine Parness

Catherine Rita “Cass” Parness, 83, passed away on Wednesday, May 4, 2016, at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center.
Born on July 9, 1932, in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late John and Margaret (Malone) Blake.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Scott Parness.
Catherine was a retired debt collector for the banking industry. She loved to read and paint and was an avid mah jong player. She loved spending time with her family and enjoyed going to the Frostburg Senior Center. Catherine was truly a Jacqueline of all trades.
Surviving are daughters, Deborah Gittleson (Gary) and Holly Parness; grandchildren, Stacie Kessler, Brett Gittleson, Blake Pritts, Jodie Forman, Kevin Parness, Katie Parness, Samuel Parness and Shannon Parness; great-grandchildren, Austin Kessler, Kelcie Kessler, Adison Pritts, Parker Pritts and Ellie Forman; siblings, Marie, Pat and Carol; and many loving nieces and nephews.
