Charles Dayton

Charles Robert Dayton, 85, Klondike, passed away on Friday August 8, 2025, at Frostburg Sterling Care Rehab.

Born October 25, 1939, in Loartown, to the late Charles A. and Laura M. (Duckworth) Dayton.

Charles was a U.S. Army Veteran of Vietnam and a truck driver by trade. He also taught Diesel Mechanics and Driving to others. He enjoyed bowling and cooking, in particular barbequing on the grill and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon A. (Nolan) Dayton; children, Jennifer Sidwell, Jeremy Dayton, Robert Dayton and Leann Crowe; sister, Donna Bittner; and numerous grandchildren and great children.

Family and friends will be received at Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Avenue, Frostburg on Saturday, August 16, 2025, from 12 noon to 2:00 pm. With words of reflection being shared.

Interment will be at St. Josephs, Midland at a later date.
