Clifford Allen Walls

Clifford Allen Walls, 82, passed away on Saturday, August 13, 2022, at Allegany Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clifford Walls and Helen (Tomlinson) Walls, and also by a son, Mark Walls. 

Clifford was a life-long resident of Frostburg, Maryland and retired from Frostburg State University Police Department.  He served in the United States Air Force from 1958 until 1961, and for a time was deployed in Pakistan.  Clifford was a member of the Masonic Lodge #99 and Farrady Post American Legion #24.  He greatly enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren; he also enjoyed woodworking, watching Gunsmoke and reading. 

He is survived by his wife of 39 years Diane (Negley) Walls, son, Matthew Walls, grandchildren, Carson, Madison, Kathryn and Justin; a great grandson born 4 hours before his passing, Bryson Allen Walls; also surviving are two sisters, Kay Weslow and husband Harvey and Joann Horine and husband John; numerous nieces and nephews; and great nieces and nephew. 

Family and friends will be received at Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Avenue, Frostburg, MD on Wednesday,  August 17, 2022 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm with Rev. Ken Hamilton officiating.

Interment will be at the Rocky Gap Veterans Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations to Saint Jude’s, a favorite charity of Clifford’s or to the Shriners Children’s Hospital.
