He had a love of baseball his whole life. Playing as a young man and coaching Little League before he had kids himself.
Hut's joy for the outdoors was well known. He was an avid hunter since he was a kid, enjoyed the woods, fishing and later in life had a passion for birds. He was a member of the Barrelville Outdoor Club through the years and supported their missions in the community.
Hut was a gracious man. Giving of himself without expecting anything in return. He was a staple not only to his family but to his neighbors, church and community. His love and devotion caring for his wife Mary Sue, of almost 57 years is an inspiration to all who witnessed it. His love for the Lord and commitment to being a living witness of faith was felt by all.
