David Russell Cutter, Jr., 60, of Frostburg, passed away on December 2, 2025, at The Gilchrist Center in Towson, Maryland, after a lengthy illness.
Born on April 22, 1965, David was the son of David R. Cutter, Sr. of Meyersdale, PA, and Gloria D. (Miller) Keister and her husband, Jim, of Frostburg, MD. He was preceded in death by his sister, April Baer, and his bonus mother, Sandy Cutter.
A 1983 graduate of Beall High School in Frostburg, David built a long and dedicated career as a hydraulic machinist at Concrete General in Gaithersburg, MD, where he worked for 33 years until the onset of his illness. He was known for his strong work ethic, steady temperament, and the quiet reliability he extended to colleagues, family, and friends.
In addition to his parents, David is survived by his wife and longtime friend, Melissa Cutter and her daughter, Riley; his sons, Hunter and Logan Cutter; his brother, Randy Cutter and wife, Stacy; his sisters, Diann Willett and husband, Christopher, Hope Bittinger and husband, Terry; and his devoted uncle, Dale Cutter. He also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins who will remember him with deep affection.
In accordance with David's wishes, there will be no formal services.
May those who knew David carry forward the quiet strength, loyalty, and kindness he shared so freely. In every steady word, every helping hand, and every moment of simple togetherness, his spirit lives on.
