David Hitchins

David Joseph Hitchins, 59, of Paw Paw, passed away Wednesday, September 29, 2016 at Winchester Medical Center.

Born May 16, 1957 in Frostburg to Charles and Nettie (Middelton) Hitchins. He is preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Aleda M. Croft and Catherine Miller.

Hitch was well known for his unique style on his bass guitar; his talent was sought after by various bands in the tristate area. He was a professional truck driver working for J.B. Hunt and Luttrell Trucking. Hitch could also operate construction equipment, weld, work timber, auto body repair, build and handle just about any job. His favorite pastime besides playing music was riding and working on motorcycles. Hitch was an avid fisherman and hunter. His passing left a void in many lives that his life touched.

Surviving are his fiancé of 8 years, Nellie Wilson; a sister Naomi Ziler and husband Keith; and several nieces and nephews.
