Dennis Leroy Crowe Sr

Dennis Leroy Crowe, 77, of Finzel, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, September 19, 2026.

Born on February 27, 1949, to the late Lillian (Baker) and Harold Crowe. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife, Lois, and by his siblings, Wayne Crowe and Deloris Sullivan.

Dennis was a 1967 Beall High Graduate and went on to serve in the Army. During his service in Vietnam, he was awarded the Bronze Star for valor. He retired from the Maryland State Highway Administration, where he worked as a project engineer.

He was a member of the Emmanuel Methodist Church and Vietnam Veterans Chapter 1135. In his spare time, he loved spending time with his family, watching NASCAR, and attending Classic Car shows with his Mustangs.

He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Peggy Crowe; children, Dennis Jr. and wife Nichola, Thomas and wife Nicole, and Christy; siblings, Donald Crowe and Linda Messmer; 17 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Family and friends will be received at Emmanuel Methodist Church, 29 Pocahontas Rd, Frostburg, MD, on Saturday, September 26, 2026, from 11 AM to 1 PM. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 with pastor Randy Crowe.

Interment will be in Emmanuel Methodist Cemetery.
