Donald E. “Beanie” Bean, 68, of Frostburg, passed away on Monday, September 30, 2013 at his residence.
Born November 18, 1944, in Frostburg, to the late Charles E. “Chick” and Evelyn (Lohr) Bean. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his brother, Charles “Sonny” Bean; sister, Nancy Bean Shaw; sister-in-law, Lillian Bean; brother-in-law, Francis Haupt Sr.
Donald was a Army National Guard veteran and a 25 year member of the American Legion Post #13.
Surviving are his loving wife of 35 years, Bonnie (Allen) Bean; two sons, Sean Bean and wife Brenda, Oldtown, Scott Bean and wife Mary, Cumberland; two grandchildren, Jordan and Dylan Bean; sister, Roxann Haupt; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Donald was cremated in accordance with his wishes.
Family and friends will be received at Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Avenue, Frostburg on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 from 7 to 9 pm.
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, October 3, 2013 at 11 am with Rev. Ken Fisher officiating.
Inurnment will be held in Maryland Veterans Cemetery, Flintstone, MD.
