Doris Price

Doris R. Price, 99, of LaVale, passed away peacefully from her earthly home to her heavenly home on Sunday, April 30, 2023.

Born on August 1, 1923, to the late John Phillip and Verna C. (Spiker) Porter. In addition to her parent she is preceded by her husband of 65 years, William R. Price; sister, Shirley Helen Eunice Whiteman; still born brother, Johnny Porter.

Doris was a member of The Frostburg Assembly of Christians. She retired from the Celanese Inc. in 1959 as a Lab Assistant.

Surviving is her daughter, Lynne Richards and husband Brent; two nephews, John Mark Whiteman and wife Stephanie, and Douglas William Whiteman; two great nieces, Amy Boyce and Christa Whiteman; two great-great nieces, Hannah and Abby Boyce; son-in-law's brother, Bradley J. Richards; and her very helpful neighbor, Alice Neely.

Friends and family will be received at Durst Funeral Home P.A., 57 Frost Ave, Frostburg, on Thursday, May 4, 2023, from 4 to 7 pm.

Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Friday, May 5, 2023 at 11 am with Evangelist David Oliver officiating.

Interment will be in the Frostburg Memorial Park.
