Earl Lepley

Earl Harvey Lepley, 92, passed away on Sunday, September 8, 2019, at his home, surrounded by his family.

Born on November 8, 1926, in Mt. Savage, he was the son of the late Earl Theodore and Annie Mae (Delbrook) Lepley.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Glenn Earl Lepley and three brothers.

Earl was a cattle and dairy farmer on his own farm.  He enjoyed woodcarving, putting puzzles together and gardening. He was a member of the Soil Conservation Society and the Farm Bureau Association.  He was named Farmer of the Year for Allegany County.  He loved being a Pap. Earl was a member of the Barrelville Presbyterian Church.

Surviving are his wife of 72 years, Grace (Lotz) Lepley; children, Portia Ann Blank and husband Allen, Mt. Savage, and Connie Mae Crabtree and husband Robert, LaVale; grandchildren, Duane Gomer and wife Crista, Jacksonville, FL, Arthur Gregory King, Jr. and wife Samantha, Flintstone, Tina Doman, LaVale and Earl Gregory King and wife Kyrsta, Berkley Springs; great-grandchildren, Ian Barbour, Alec Gomer, Gracie Mae Doman, Carsyn and Kayden King, Arthur King III and Laurie King; and his favorite dog, Rocky.

Family and friends will be received at Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Ave, Frostburg, MD, on Thursday, September 12, 2019, from 10 am to 12:30 pm.

Funeral services will follow at 12:30 pm with Pastor Gary Barkley officiating. Interment will be in Restlawn Memoral Gardens.

Serving as pallbearers will be Allen Blank, Robert Crabtree, Jim Sweitzer, Duane Gomer, Arthur King, Jr, and Earl King.

The family would like to thank Home Hospice, the Veterans Administration and CHF Clinic at Western Maryland Health System.
