Eleanor Lea Carr, 84, passed away on September 25, 2025.

Born on November 8, 1940 in Midland, she was the daughter of the late Charles M. Preston and Mary S. (Quinn) Preston. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Allen Car Sr.; son, Jacob Willis Carr II; brothers, Charles Preston, James T. Preston and Ben Preston; sisters, Catherine Ritchey, Mary Hice and Shirley Rafferty.

Family was always came first for Eleanor. She loved getting her family together for any holiday and cooking dinners for everyone. Eleanor took the time to crotched a blanket for each of her grandchildren. She loved days at Chesapeake Beach, boat rides in the Bay and enjoyed crabbing.

Surviving are her son, Rick Carr Jr. and wife Donna; daughter, Kathy Carr; seven grandchildren, Nicholas, Jennifer, Hanna, Ashley, Raymond, Randy and Patricia; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Darlene Spataro; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral service will be held at Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Avenue, Frostburg, MD on Tuesday, September 30, 2025 at 12 noon. Friends and family will be received one hour prior from 11 am to noon.

Interment will be in Rocky Gap Veterans Cemetery.
