Ellen Cutter

Ellen Susannah Cutter, 66, of LaVale, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, December 31, 2016.
Born on November 28, 1950 in Frostburg, she was the daughter of the late Bruce W. and Evva Ellena (Zinkan) Hetrick.
In addition to her parents, Ellen was preceded in death by her sister, Phyllis R. “Flip” Hetrick.
Following graduation, Ellen worked as a medical secretary at the Armed Forces Institute of Pathology. She then worked at Hobby House Press and retired as the secretary at Federal Printing.
Mrs. Cutter was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Frostburg.
Surviving are her husband of 37 years, Mark Clifford Cutter of LaVale; son, Mark W. Cutter, Charlotte, N.C; daughter, Kristina R. Cutter Aspen Hills, MD, DC; brother, William J. Hetrick, Washington, D.C.; nephew, Joseph C. Hetrick and wife Pam; great-nephews, Joseph C. and Jonathan T. Hetrick.
Family and friends will be received at Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Ave., Frostburg, MD on Tuesday, January 3, 2017, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm.
Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, January 4, 2017, at 11 am with Pastor Rick Schoenly officiating.
Interment will follow in Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Accident, Maryland.
