Esther Biggs

Esther E. Biggs, 83, of Frostburg, passed away on Thursday, October 27, 2016.
Born on October 18, 1933, in Frostburg, she was the daughter of the late Walter T. and Mary E. (Miller) Patterson.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Robert “Bob” Biggs, who passed away in January; sisters, Elizabeth Shimer, Hazel Hitchins, Ruth Eisel, Anna M. Davis and Gladys Zehner; brothers, Walter T. Patterson and William A. Patterson. She was the last remaining member of her immediate family.
Esther retired from Frostburg State University where she was an Office Supervisor in the Registrar’s Office.
She was a fifty year member of Frostburg United Methodist Church and was a fifty year member of Martha Washington Chapter #10 O.E.S. Esther, Bob and family enjoyed 30 years of summers living at Deep Creek Lake as residents of Thousand Acres. She also enjoyed attending Masonic function with Bob.
Surviving are son, Scott and wife Maria Biggs; granddaughter, Jennifer; great-granddaughters, Clair, Sophia and Elise.
Funeral services were private and interment was in Frostburg Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations, in Esther’s name, be made to Frostburg United Methodist Church, 48 W. Main Street, Frostburg, MD 21532.
