Florence Loraine Negley

Florence L. Negley, 96, of Frostburg, passed away on Friday, September 11, 2026, at Egle Nursing and Rehab.

Born August 28, 1930, in Frostburg to the late, George Carpenter Long and Oleta Clarissa (O'Baker) Long. In addition to her parents, she is preceded by her husband of 60 years, Edward "Junior" Negley; son, Eddie Negley; sister, Margaret Ware; and son-in-law, Cliff Walls.

Florence was a homemaker and always volunteered her time with community services. She loved canning and spending time quilting.

Surviving are four children, Diane Walls, Frostburg, Larry Negley and wife Cheryl, Frostburg, Ronnie Negley and wife Kim, St. Louis, Brenda Shaw and husband Craig, Lonaconing; nine grandchildren, David Sagal, Joshua Sagal, Kristin (Sagal) Sherman, Amanda (Negley) Householder, Matthew Negley, Christopher Negley, Michael Negley, Ryan Negley and Ashley Negley; 13 great grandchildren; and sister, Alma June Harris.

Friends and family will be received on Monday, September 14, 2026, from 12 noon to 1 pm. Funeral services will follow at 1 pm with Rev. Karen Crosby officiating.

Interment will be in Frostburg Memorial Park.
