Frances Louise Hansel

Frances "Peach" Hansel, 84, of Frostburg passed away on August, 19, 2026 at Mountain City Nursing and Rehab.

Born on March 29, 1942 to the late Lola (Mease) and Robert Taylor. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her siblings, David Taylor, Joseph Taylor and Susan White.

Peach was a member of Eckhart Baptist Church and a teacher of 30+ years in Allegany county. In her spare time she loved reading to children at the Frostburg Library and enjoyed winning and playing Bingo.

Surviving are her husband of 63 years, Ronald Hansel; children, Rona Zuber and husband Bink, Todd Hansel and wife Jessica; grandchildren, Taylor Zuber, Jessica Garcia and husband Mike, Luke Hansel, Ethan Hansel; great grandchildren, Hailey Hansel, Ares Garcia, Mila Garcia and her sister, Alice "Cookie" Weimer

Family and friends will be received at Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Avenue, Frostburg, MD on Friday, August 21, 2026 from 10 A.M to 12 Noon. Funeral service will follow at 12:00 with Pastor Matt Eichhorn Officiating.

Interment will be in Eckhart Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Eckhart Baptist Church, 17104 Old National Pike SW, Frostburg, MD or the Activities Department at Mt. City Rehab, 48 Tarn Terrace, Frostburg, MD.
