Gary Robinette

Gary L. Robinette went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, June 28, 2022 surrounded by his family.

Born on May 11, 1940 to the late Helena Clarbell Bridges and Lewis Henry Robinette. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Judith Robinette; brother, Gene Robinette; sister, Kay Ann Grim and daughter, Cindy Robinette.

Gary was a Deacon and lifetime member of Little Meadows Church. He even helped build the church and maintained the lawn throughout the years. He taught stage carpentry at Frostburg State University. He also worked at Kelly Springfield, Mt. Savage Brick Yard and as a sanitary engineer for Garrett County. Gary’s favorite hobby was hunting and his favorite saying was “Never met a stranger but I’ve met some pretty strange people”. After the passing of his wife, he continued to maintain Little Meadows Campground where he loved to mow the grass and catch up with the visiting campers.

Surviving are his daughter, Robin (Robinette) Rankin and husband Dwayne; three grandchildren, Charity Georg and husband John, Randy Dennal and Kristian Bittinger; adopted daughter, Batricia Nave; great grandchildren, Alex Bittinger, Austin Bittinger, Brianna Bittinger and Kennedy Bittinger.

Family and friends will be received for a Celebration of Life Church service at Little Meadows Baptist Church, 1720 Chestnut Ridge Road, Grantsville, MD on Tuesday, July 5, 2022 at 10:30 am with Pastor Jack Harrison officiating.

He was cremated in accordance with his wishes.
