George V. Bender

George V. Bender, 94, passed away at Mountain City Rehab and Nursing on Tuesday, August 2, 2022.

Born April 17, 1928 in McKeesport, Pennsylvania, he was the daughter of the late Blaine and Sarah Virginia (Rowe) Bender. In addition to his parents he is preceded by his wife, Dorothy E. (Perry) Bender; brothers, Robert and Cecil Bender.

Mr. Bender was a U.S. Army Veteran, and retired from the U.S. Postal Service Headquarters in the Inspection Department. 

Surviving are his friends, Charles and Susan Himmler, of Frostburg.

In accordance with his wishes a private graveside service was held at Frostburg Memorial Park on Wednesday, August 3, 2022, with Rev. George Harpold officiating.
