Isabelle Thomas

Isabelle "Izzy" E. Thomas, 92, of Frostburg, passed away on Saturday, December 23, 2023, at Sterling Care at Frostburg Village.

Born July 26, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Frost and Nancy (Wright) Turner. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband John O. "Dodie" Thomas. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Mary Eliza Turner; brother, Thomas J. Turner; and nephew, Thomas Scott Turner.

Isabelle was a lifelong member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Frostburg. She was a graduate of Beall High School and worked as a Banker in Cumberland for many years. Izzy was full of life and could always be counted on for a reminder to "keep smiling and keep moving".

She is survived by a brother, John S. Turner and wife Carol, Frostburg; nephews J. Mark Turner and wife Cindy, Wooster, OH, and Jeffrey J. Turner and wife Gloria, Ellerslie; niece Debra G. Kraftchak and husband Tim, Woodbridge, VA; and many friends.

Friends and family will be received at Durst Funeral Home on Friday, December 29th, from 11-1PM with funeral services immediately following with Rev. Mark Molter Officiating.

Interment will be in Frostburg Memorial Park.

In Lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations, in Isabelle's name, be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 34 W. Main Street, Frostburg, MD 21532.
