James Fleming

James J. Fleming Sr., 79, of Frostburg, passed away June 25, 2024 at UPMC Western Maryland.

Born on September 9, 1944 to the late Elizabeth Wilhelm Fleming and Joseph Fleming. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, DiAnna Fleming son, Morris Fleming, and brother, John Fleming.

Jim was a heavy equipment operator; he enjoyed gardening, fishing, collecting old tractors, cutting, and delivering firewood and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandkids.

Surviving are his children; Teena J, Andrews, and fiancé Dave Platt sons, James J. Fleming Jr. and wife Amy, and Clifford W. Fleming; grandchildren Caitlyn Leatherman and husband Eric, Angel Fleming and husband John, Jacob Fleming and wife Chasity, Zayden Fleming, and Jaxon Andrews. Great Grandchildren Addison, Raina, Jared, Violet, and Aurora.

Family and friends will be received at Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Avenue, Frostburg, MD on Friday, June 28, 2024 from 11 A.M. to 12 noon.

Funeral service will follow at noon with Dr. John O'Rorke.

Interment will be in Frostburg Memorial Park.
