Joe L Lavin

Joe L. Lavin, 79, of National Pike, Frostburg, MD went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at UPMC.

Born July 18, 1943 in Finzel. He is preceded in death by his grandmother who raised him, Eliza L. Rosenberger; father, Dick Lavin and his mother, Iva Rosenberger Via.

Joe was in charge of Frostburg Memorial Park for over 50 years and was hospitalized in August of 2022.

Surviving is his wife of 50 years, Lela (Gordon) Lavin; and half brothers and sisters; many other family members and friends.

Family and friends will be received at Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Avenue, Frostburg, MD on Sunday, September 11, 2022 from 1:00 to 3:00 P.M.

Funeral service will follow after the visitation at 3:00 with Pastor Beeman Officiating.

Interment will be in Frostburg Memorial Park.

As a caretaker of a cemetery Joe had his fair share of cleaning up flowers and grew a disliking to them. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Ave., to help offset the funeral cost. https://square.link/u/2j4oX0Bv?src=sms
