John C. Yutzy of Klondike, passed away Monday, July 25, 2022 at Medstar Georgetown University Hospital in Washington D.C.
Born November 3rd, 1964 in Hagerstown to Mary Ann (Werner) and Gene R. Yutzy. He is preceded in death by his father; Gene R. Yutzy.
John graduated from Mount Savage High School in 1982 and went to Vo-Tech. John entered the Army directly after graduation and was Medically Honorably Discharged.
John was a lifelong mechanic and autobody technician. He loved his profession and loved anything with a motor that could get him into trouble.
He is survived by his fiancé, Susie Lindeman; first wife Rosemary (Halbritter) Yutzy; children Justin, Megan, Veronica (Richard), and McKenzie; grandchildren, Dalton, Hemi, Lexi, and Creed; siblings Joe Yutzy, Janet (Denny) Bantz, Jim Yutzy (Judy Abel), and Judy (Jim) Branham; and countless nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends he considered family.
John had many hobbies in his lifetime, with a main on being Dirt Track Racing; he was a proud builder and crew chief for TC Racecars, along with assisting many others in this sport. All of his hobbies were centered around every kind of motorsports and could fix anything for anyone.
John’s family would like to extend a very special thanks to the staff at UPMC Western Maryland and Medstar Georgetown for their exceptional care while he was inpatient; and Durst Funeral Home for their assistance with arrangements and support.
A memorial service will be held in John’s honor at the Midland Firehall on Sunday, August 21st, 2022 at 2:00 pm.
