Karol Myers

October 29, 1939 — February 1, 2023

Karol "Kaye" (Keister) Myers, passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at her home after a lengthy illness of Alzheimers. She was surrounded by her family.

Kaye was a graduate of Beall High School in 1957. She played piano at the Methodist Church in Frostburg when she was growing up. She graduated from Memorial Nursing School as an RN and had various RN positions throughout the years starting at Minor Hospital in Frostburg. She then worked for Dr. Strong until he retired and then the Clinic at Frostburg State University. Worked for the Celanese plant for few years then went back to Frostburg State University where she Retired. Kaye loved helping people and she would even assist in giving insulin shots, etc. for those friends and neighbors who couldn't themselves.

She is preceded in death by her son, Richard "Rick" Lee Myers; husband James "Jimmy" Lee Myers; sister, Ginger Kamauff; father, Russ Keister & mother, Iona Coleman Durst.

She is survived by her daughter, Debbie Wiersma and husband Glenn of Hagerstown; son

Todd Myers of Frostburg; brother Russ " Rocky" Keister of Missouri; 4 grandchildren, Shannon Smith, Jennifer Smith, Will Driscoll & Daniel Wiersma; 9 great grandchildren, Olivia, JoJo, Ali-Rose, Kayden, Ethan, Connor, Skylar, Anya and Damien and beloved nieces and nephews.

Kaye will be cremated according to her wishes and will be laid to rest with her husband Jim and son Rick at Frostburg Memorial Park at a later date.

Private service will be held with a Celebration of Life at a later date.
