Kevin Giles

April 12, 1965 — June 29, 2019

Kevin Leon Giles, 54, passed away on Saturday, June 29, 2019, in Points, WV, due to injuries received in a motorcycle accident.

Born on April 12, 1965, in Cumberland, he was the son of the late Donald Ellsworth and Hilda Mae (McKenzie) Giles.

In addition to his parents, Kevin was preceded in death by brother, Michael L. Wolford; half-brother, Gary Giles; sister, Linda Giles Bourne; half-sister, Catheryn Giles; nephew Francis Scott Giles; and his Best Buddy, his dog, Buddy (Handsome Pie).

Kevin was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was employed by CSX.  He was the former owner of Gilesy’s Bar in Klondike.

He was a Harley Davidson enthusiast and loved camping and traveling to new places including concerts and motorcycle events.  His favorite holiday was Halloween because you never knew how he was going to show up.

Above all, he was a family man; a beloved husband and loving father.  He was a man who would do anything for anybody.

Surviving are his wife, Cindy Seifarth Giles; sons, Kevin Giles, Jr., Brandon Giles and partner Michelle Yates, and Carson Ritchey; two full brothers, Donald Giles and wife Linda, Cumberland, and Francis Giles and wife Luann, Frostburg; two full sisters, Lillian Forsythe, Hagerstown, and Virginia Mason and husband Paul, Alabama; two half-brothers, Eugene Wolford and wife Linda, Ohio and Tommy Giles, Ohio; a half-sister, Patricia Ann Wright and husband, Herman, Frostburg; numerous nieces and nephews; and three beloved dogs and rescued cat.

A memorial service will be held at Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Ave, Frostburg, MD, on Friday, July 5, 2019, at 1 pm with Rev. George Harpold officiating. Family and friends will be received at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.

Inurnment will follow at Frostburg Memorial Park.

Military honors will be accorded by American Legion Post 13 Fort Cumberland.
