Larry Vernon Bennett

Larry Vernon Bennett, 83, of Corriganville, MD, went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 15, 2025, at Allegany Health Nursing and Rehab.

Born on October 8, 1941, in Cumberland, MD.

Mr. Bennett was the son of the late Vernon Bennett and Rosalie (Smith) Webster. The late wife, Betty Jane (White) Bennett. Also preceded in death by his brother, Rodney Lee Bennett and granddaughters, Bridget Summers and Mallory Clair.

Surviving are his children, Shelly Summers and husband Mark, Steven Bennett, Kevin Bennett, Ricky Bennett, Rhonda Twigg and fiancé Steve Dougherty; grandchildren, Brittney Summers, Crystal Black, Amber Clair, Stephanie Clair, Emily Bennett, Tyler Bennett, Zachary Bennett and Abigail Bennett; and numerous great-grandchildren; brother, Brad Bennett and wife Vi; and several nieces and nephews.

Larry was a U.S. Army Veteran and worked in the Laborers Union Local 616 for many years. He was an avid sports fan, cheering primarily for the Dallas Cowboys and the late Dale Earnhardt Sr., he loved playing horseshoes and being with friends and family.

Friends will be received at Tri-State Ministry Center, 232 Hyndman Rd, Hyndman, PA 15545, on Saturday, September 20, 2025, from 11 am to 12 noon. A funeral service will follow with Stevie Leydig officiating.

Interment will follow at Comps Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Bennett, Ricky Bennett, Steven Bennett, Mark Summers, Rocky Douty, Austin Black, Glen Price and Braxton Clair.
