Louise Booth

Louise Marie (Carr) Booth, 84, passed away on Monday, May 23, 2016, at the Western Maryland Regional Medical Center.

Born on September 22, 1931 in Cass, WV, to the late Russell E. Carr and Nina (Swisher) Carr-Wyatt.  In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, George Joseph Booth Sr.; grandson, Duane Joseph Booth; sisters, Dorothy Booth, Donna Dorsey; and a brother, Harry Carr.

Louise retired from Frostburg State University where she was a housekeeper for fifteen years. She was a lifelong member of the Barrelville Presbyterian Church, and a member of the Piney Mountain Hunting Club. Louise loved to hunt, fish, go bowling & spend time with family on Piney Mountain.

Surviving are her children, Russell W. Booth Sr. and wife Christine of Dundalk, MD, Jackie A. Booth Sr. and wife Sandy of Mt. Savage, Brenda E. (Booth) U’Ren and husband James of Memphis, TN, Judy A. (Booth) Connelly of Hagerstown, Louise Carol (Booth) Engle of Mt. Savage, whom Louise resided with, George J. Booth Jr. and wife Jackie of Mt. Savage; grandchildren, Russell “Rusty” Booth Jr., Lisa (Booth) Hoppe, Lena (Booth) Hughes, Jackie A. Booth Jr., Steven J. Booth, Kelly (U’Ren) McHugh, Jeffery U’Ren, Michelle Connelly, Christopher Connelly, David Carder, Lynn (Carder) Minor, Allen “Mikey” Carder, Holly (Booth) Dawson, Carolyn Noel (Both) Childs, Hunter Booth; twenty-eight great-grandchildren; her brother, Donald “Sonny, Red” Carr of Belle Chase, LA, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received at Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Ave., Frostburg, MD, on Thursday, May 26, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 P.M.

Funeral services will be held at Durst Funeral Home on Friday, May 27, 2016 at 11 am with Rev. Caroline Kelly officiating.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations be directed to Barrelville Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 194, Corriganville MD 21524.

Interment will be held in Rest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
