Margaret Morgan

November 29, 1928 — July 14, 2017

Margaret “Colleen” Morgan, 88, of Mount Savage passed away on Friday, July 14, 2017, at Lions Center for Rehabilitation and Extended Care.

Born on November 29, 1928, in Mt. Savage, she was the daughter of the late Patrick Stephen and Anna Bernadine Boyle. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Charles “Bill” Morgan; sisters, Bernadine Grove and husband Harry, Joan Logsdon, Eileen Bridges and husband Homer; brother, Stephen Boyle; brother in law, George Flynn and James J. Murray.

Ms. Morgan was a graduate of Ursuline Academy Class of 1947 and was employed at the Celanese Corporation for 18 years. She was a member of Our Lady of the Mountains Catholic Church of Mt. Savage, Catholic Daughters of America, Ancient Order of Hibernians and volunteered with weekly dinners at Mount Savage Fire Hall. Colleen was a loving wife, sister and aunt who loved to spend time with her family and friends. She was a cheerful giver and enjoyed visiting and playing cards. She will be sadly missed by her family and all who knew her.

Surviving are sisters, F. Elaine Flynn, Robertine B. Murray, Cumberland, and Maureen Lennox and husband Bob, Mt. Savage; a special niece, Karen Shaffer; sister in law, Tass Boyle; brother in law, Patrick Logsdon and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins whom she dearly loved.

The family would like to thank Dr. Tan and the staff at Lions Center for their exceptional care provided to her. A special thanks to Fr. Eric Gauchat, Hospital Chaplain.

A private family interment will be held in St. Patrick’s Catholic Cemetery in Mt. Savage.
