Marie Caroline Dunn

Marie Caroline (Hadley) Dunn, 91, went home to be with the Lord, peacefully on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, at UPMC Western Maryland Hospital.

Born on February 27, 1931, to the late Mary D. (Albright) and Harry Hadley. She is preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, James N. Dunn.  

Marie graduated from Beall High School in 1949 where she acquired bookkeeping skills. She then went on to be a bookkeeper for various car dealerships and was one of the first women to work for ABL. Her hobbies included reading, cooking, baking, homemaking and ceramics. Marie is also a member of The Frostburg Assembly of Christians who meet at the Gospel Hall in Grahamtown.

Surviving are daughter, Maureen K. Swogger and husband Don; son, Edwin J. Dunn; two grandsons, Jordan D. Swogger, Justin J. Swogger and girlfriend Rachel Witmer; sister, Joan Fitzpatrick; her niece Mary Lynne Fitzpatrick-Rankin and husband Butch and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received at Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Avenue, Frostburg, MD on Thursday, October 6, 2022 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

Funeral services will be Friday, October 7, 2022 at Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Avenue, Frostburg, MD at 11:00 am with Evangelist David Oliver officiating. Family and friends will also be received one hour prior to service.

There will be no graveside service.
