Mary Eliza Turner

Mary Eliza Turner, 90, of Frostburg, passed away on Sunday, October 28, 2018, at Sterling Care at Frostburg Village.

Born December 21, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Frost and Nancy (Wright) Turner.  She was also preceded in death by her fiance, Joseph Seibert; brother, Thomas J. Turner; nephew, Thomas Scott Turner and a brother-in-law, John O. “Dodie” Thomas.

Mary Eliza was a lifelong member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Frostburg.  She was a graduate of Beall High School and worked as a secretary for Beall Elementary School and retired from Alliant Techsystems (ABL) with 29 years of service. From 1989 to 1999 she worked as a part-time employee for the Bon-Ton department store.

She is survived by a sister, Isabelle E. Thomas; brother, John S. Turner and wife Carol, Frostburg; nephews, J. Mark Turner and wife Cindy, Wooster, OH, and Jeffrey J. Turner and wife Gloria, Ellerslie; niece, Debra G. Kraftchak and husband Tim, Woodbridge, VA.

Interment will be private in Frostburg Memorial Park.

The family requests that memorial donations, in Mary Eliza’s name, be made to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 34 W. Main Street, Frostburg, MD 21532.
