Matthew Daniel DeCarlo January 30, 1973 - May 26, 2025

Matthew Daniel DeCarlo was born in Nashua NH to James Francis DeCarlo, Jr., and Mary Patricia Kelleher. His godparents were Lois DeCarlo and Dan Kelleher. Matt was raised in Eckhart Mines and called Allegany County his home. Matt enjoyed being amongst friends. With a few words spoken in just the right accent, he could elicit a smile or a laugh just as easily as he could inspire outrage or disbelief, sometimes in the same conversation. If you were his friend, you were fortunate for someone as caring and loyal. His wit and intelligence were matched only by his kindness and generosity. He will be greatly missed.

Matt was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his sister, Sara DeCarlo and fiance Jimmy Hutzell (Baltimore) and his brother, James III and wife Alissa (Eckhart), as well as nieces Mia (Eckhart) and Lilli Flanagan and husband Brady(Honolulu), and nephew James IV (Eckhart).

Matt was cremated and the family plans to incorporate his remains with his parents' gravesite in Frostburg Memorial Gardens.

There will be a Celebration of Matthew's Life to be held at the Frostburg Elks, on Saturday, July 12, at 4:00pm.
