May Emmaline (Caton) McKenzie, 87, of Frostburg, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2022 at Mountain City Nursing Home.
Born on June 2, 1934, in Frostburg, she was the daughter of the late Simon and Minnie McKenzie Caton. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Francis “Dick” Raymond McKenzie; grandson, Joshua Daniel McKenzie; great granddaughter Emmaline Anna Maria McKenzie; five brothers, Clarence, Anthony, Lawrence, Carl, and Herbert Caton; four sisters, Leona Kitis, Mary McKenzie, Irene Ramhoff and Isabel Minnick.
Mrs. McKenzie was a member of Divine Mercy Parish, St. Michaels Church. She was a very happy homemaker, a loving and caring woman with a very big heart that would do anything for you. Her family was everything to her.
Surviving are three sons, Ronald McKenzie and wife Vicki, Zilhman, MD, Danny McKenzie and friend Ruth, Pocahontas, PA, Terry McKenzie and wife Jamie, Finzel, MD; one daughter, Debbie Arnold and husband Doug, Frostburg, MD; three grandsons, Ronald Jr. McKenzie and wife Stacey, Frostburg, MD, Christopher McKenzie and wife Allison, Finzel, MD, Corey Arnold, Frostburg, MD; one granddaughter, Katie Broadwater, Grantsville; four great grandsons, Noah, Jerad, and Chad McKenzie and Austin Broadwater; two great granddaughters, Isabella McKenzie and Savana Broadwater; one brother, Stanley and wife Virginia Caton, Oldtown, MD; one sister-in-law, Hazel McKenzie, Frostburg, MD and numerous nieces and nephews. She will be missed by so many.
Special thank you to everyone at Mountain City Nursing Home for caring for our mother (your staff are heroes). Also, an extended special thank you to Krista Neilson for being there and doing everything you did for her. Mom thought a lot of you so again thank you for everything you did.
Family and friends will be received at Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Avenue, Frostburg, MD on Tuesday, February 1, 2022, from 11 AM to 1 PM. A funeral service will follow at 1 PM with Fr. Eric Gauchat O.F.M. Cap.
Pallbearers are Ronnie McKenzie, Chris McKenzie, David Kitis, John Kitis, Joe Minnick and Timmy Siegmyer.
Internment will be at Greenville Cemetery.
