Mildred Nigh

Mildred Faye Nigh, 91, of Barrelville, passed away Thursday, February 22, 2018 at Ruby Memorial Hospital.

Born in Barrelville November 14, 1926 to the late Bertha May (Lowery) Gray and Carl E. Gray. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Donald F. Nigh; brothers, Kenneth Gray, Ralph Gray, Robert Gray and her sister, Elinor (Gray) Smith. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Mildred worked for Monarck Printing and retired from Montgomery County School system. She is also a member of the Barrelville Presbyterian Church. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading and crossword puzzles.

Surviving are her sons, Kenneth Swauger Sr. and wife Norma, James Nigh Sr. and wife Stephanie; daughter, Donna Blank and husband Richard; grandchildren, Richard Weimer and wife Pilar, Kenneth Swauger Jr. and wife Chrissy, Amy Emmerling and husband Nick, Steven Blank and girlfriend Katie Loar, James Nigh Jr., Sarah Nigh, Rebecca Nigh; great-grandchildren, Kristina Weimer, Paula Cherre, Matthew Kinsall, Andrew Emmerling, Michael Emmerling, Connor Emmerling, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Friends and family will be received at Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Avenue, Frostburg on Sunday, February 25, 2018 from 4 to 7 P.M. Funeral service will be Monday, February 26, 2018 at 11 A.M with Rev. Ann Atkins Officiating.

Internment will be in Rocky Gap Veterans Cemetery.
