Patricia V. Montana, 76, of Frostburg, passed away peacefully Saturday, April 14, 2018, at Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg, VA, after a brief illness.
Born on August 16, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Russell and Ruth Moomau.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Ishmal Filer and granddaughter, Tosha DelSignore.
Pat retired from Sacred Heart Hospital in 2005 where she was a buyer for the Pharmacy.
She loved her family beyond measure. They were the most important things in her life. Everyone felt her unconditional love every day. She was the meaning of selfless, always giving so much of herself to everyone. If she knew you, she loved you.
Surviving are daughter, Diane Comer and husband Arthur; son James Filer and wife Sonya; daughter Allison Mazer and husband TR; she leaves behind the absolute loves of her life, 10 grandchildren, Amanda Walker, Chuck Carter, Jimmy Filer, Ashli Workman, Tyler Mazer, Tanner Mazer, Turner Mazer, Lexie Comer, and Alyvia Mazer; 10 great-grandchildren, Trevor DelSignore, Charlie Carter, Noah Filer, Brynn DelSignore, Jonah Walker, Evan Filer, Jaxson Carter, Logan Workman, Lincoln Carter and Sam Walker; brothers, Roland Moomau and Charles Moomau and wife Evelyn; sister Deborah Whisner and husband Edward; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family and friends will be received at Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Ave., Frostburg, MD, on Wednesday, April 18, 2018, from 2-4 and 7-9 pm.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 19, 2018, at 10 am.
Interment will follow at Frostburg Memorial Park.
