Phyllis S. Bowser, 93, of Eckhart, formerly of Frostburg, passed away Sunday, April 7, 2013 at Wuestoff Hospice House, Rockledge, FL.

Born March 2, 1920, in Saxton, PA. to Charles Huffman and Dora M. Homan; in addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Bowser; three brothers, George Leroy Huffman and wife Martha, Robert Charles Huffman and wife Helen, Franklin Monroe Huffman and wife Frances.

Mrs. Bowser was a 62 year member of Mountain Chapter #15 Order of the Eastern Star, Women of the Moose #348,  Farrady Unit #24 American Legion Ladies Auxiliary,  St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Frostburg and regularly attended Eckhart Methodist Church, where she served in the choir and the Helping Hand Society.

Surviving are her daughter, Marie Woolcott and husband Warren, Rockledge, FL; son,  James Bowser, Hancock; three grandchildren, James “Cricket” Bowser Jr. and wife Christina, Vanessa “Ab” Fabbri and husband Shane, Richard “Chuck” Passarell and wife Stevie; four great grandchildren, Olivia and Madison Fabbri, Allsion Bowser and Anthony Trejo.
