Reaford Leroy Crowe, 87, of Mt. Savage, went to be with his Lord and be welcomed into the arms of his loving wife, Delores, on Thursday, October 6, 2016.

Born on April 17, 1929, in Mt. Savage, he was the son of the late Walter and Mary Alice (Snyder) Crowe.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Delores J. Crowe, six brothers, two sisters and a granddaughter.

Reaford served in WWII where he was a member of the US Army.  Following his discharge from the military, he worked at the Mt. Savage Refractories from which he retired. He was a member of the Mt. Savage United Methodist Church.

Surviving are his children, Donna Lashley and husband Elwood, Mt. Savage, Sandra Scell and husband William, Albemarle, NC, Barbara Baker and companion, Lewis “Bub” Smith, Hyndman, Reaford Crowe, Jr, and companion Linda, Frostburg, Tina Whetstone and husband Jeff, Frostburg, Pamela Taylor and husband Buckley, Mt Savage, and Bruce Crowe and wife Tiffany, Cresaptown; 26 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; 14 great-great-grandchildren; sister Gladys Crowe; and numerous nieces and nephews.

His family was his life.
