Richard Duane Bennett Jr.

Richard Duane Bennett Jr, 55, of Frostburg unexpectedly passed away on July 19, 2026.

Richard was a 1989 graduate of Beall High School and soon after enlisted in the Army. After his service he worked and retired from NBCI as a correctional officer.

Family was everything to Richard, he leaves behind his mother, Deborah Finzel and his father Earl; daughters, Abigail Bennett and Kayla Bennett; grandchildren, Adaline Clark and Elias Clark; siblings, Butchie Finzel and wife Melissa, Amy Hansel and husband Keith, Shane Bennett and wife Kim. Along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received at Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Avenue, Frostburg, MD on Friday, July 24, 2026 from 10:00 to 12:00 PM. Funeral service will follow at 12 Noon with Pastor Everett Spence Officiating.

Interment will be in Frostburg Memorial Park.
