Ricky Keith Winebrenner

Ricky Keith Winebrenner, 62, of Mount Savage, passed away Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at his residence.

Born on March 27, 1961, he was preceded in death by his parents, Jeanette "Jean" M. (Harden) Winebrenner and Kenneth W. Winebrenner; and a brother, Kenneth W. Winebrenner Jr.

Rick was a 1979 graduate of Mt. Savage High School where he played soccer and baseball winning state titles in both divisions. He worked many jobs, Coal Mines, Stroehmans and Schmidts Bakery, Verso and Closetmaid. Rick never not worked; when layed off from one job he found another job.

Rick loved to joke, was kindhearted and would do anything for anyone. He loved hunting; loved his son and grandsons who called him "Pops" and his pet dog, Charlie.

He is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 40 years; Karen Sue Winebrenner; son, Justin Winebrenner and wife Cheyenne; grandsons, Ryder and Rawlings and a baby girl on the way; sister-in-law, Nanette Winebrenner and several nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received at Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Avenue, Frostburg, on Friday, March 1, 2024 from 2 to 4 PM and 7 to 9 PM.

Funeral will be held Saturday, March 2, 2024 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with Rev. Sandra Burchell officiating. 

Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park.

The family would like to thank Dr. Mavromatis and nurses at UPMC and Dr. Khanna for the care they gave Rick.
