Robert Donald Lantz

Robert Donald Lantz, 85, of Mount Savage passed away on Wednesday, May 20, 2026 at Mountain City Rehab Center, Frostburg.

Born on June 10, 1940, in Cumberland, to the late Robert L and Minerva (Atkinson) Lantz. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Lisa Fay; brothers, Ronald Lantz, Paul "Perry" Lantz, Bruce "Billy" Lantz, Jack Lantz, Rev. Thomas Lantz and a half sister, Anna Lee Oester.

Bob was an electrician in the U.S. Navy for thirteen years serving two tours in Vietnam. After his service he worked as a HRDC bus driver and aid. Bob was a member of the Vietnam Veterans of America (VVA) Chapter #172 and the Pentecostal Holiness Church of Cumberland.

Surviving are his wife Mary Lantz; daughter, Joyce Lantz; son, Robert D. Lantz II and fiancé Heather; six grandchildren, Jordan Lantz, Jeffery Rowe, Joel Rowe, Josh Lantz, Taylor Lantz, and Reagan Lantz; Brother, Timothy Lantz and wife Kim.

Family and friends will be received at Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Avenue, Frostburg, MD on Friday, May 22, 2026 from 5 to 7 pm.

Funeral service will be held at the Funeral Home on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at 11 am with Harland and Jodi Lohr officiating. Friends will be recevied one hour prior from 10 to 11 am.

Bob will be cremated following the funeral service. Inurnment will be in Sunset Memorial Park at a later date.
