Roy Hott

Roy E. "Doody" Hott, 86, passed away, Wednesday, December 31, 2025 at UMPC Pittsburgh.

Born March 22,1939 to the late James E. and Bertha E. (Lewis) Hott. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Rullie G. "Butch" Hott, and brother, James A. Hott.

Roy was a member of the Mt. Savage Fire Department and a member of Kemp Lodge and in the Masons for 60 years. He retired with 43 years from Kelly Springfield Tire Company.

Surviving are his children; Roy A. Hott and wife Krista, LouAnn Bittner and husband Kevin, and Rene Beal and husband Daniel; 8 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren and one on the way. Also surviving are brother, Dale Hott and wife Carolyn and sister, Pam Kline; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and friends will be received at Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Avenue on Monday, January 5, 2026 from 3 to 6 PM. Tuesday, January 6th from 2 to 4:00 pm and 7 to 9 pm., and Wednesday, January 7th from 10 to 11:00 am.

Funeral Services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, January 7th, 2026 at 11:00 am with Rev. Barry Winters officiating.

Interment will be in Mt. Savage Methodist Cemetery.
