Ruth V. (Harden) Lashley
89, died Wednesday, December 11, 2013 at WMHS Regional Medical Center.
She was born July 7, 1924, in Frostburg, and is the daughter of the late Edgar and Annabelle (Thorpe) Harden.
Mrs. Lashley was a homemaker, and later in life worked as a cook at Al Via's Restaurant, Frostburg Legion, Beall Elementary and Beall High School Cafeteria.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Lashley, a sister Helen Nolan and husband Jack and three brothers, John "Ned" Harden and wife Margret, Charles Harden and wife Ellen and James Harden and wife Alice.
She is survived by four children, Robert G. Lashley and wife Judy of LaVale, Sharon Shillingburg of Winchester, KY, Sheila Adams of Leonardtown, MD and Kevin Lashley and wife Lisa of Cumberland; eight granddaughters, Kimberly Boston and husband Bryan of Cumberland, Amanda Brust and husband Christopher of Cresaptown, Kathryn Nicol and husband Adam of Cresaptown, Stephanie Waller and husband Lee of Winchester, KY, Keri Fridley and husband Brian of Huntington, WV, Jody Pifer of Frostburg, Stacy Rapson and husband Derek of Cumberland, Ashley Adams of Cumberland; two grandsons, Mathew Lashley and Marcus Lashley both of Cumberland; four great granddaughters Misty Boston, Kaylee Pifer, Londyn Moorehead and Bailey Lashley;fourteen great grandsons Tyler Boston, Codi and Atticus Nicol, Andrew and Alex Brust, Brandon and Dylan Pifer, Bryson and Brayden Waller, Bryan, Ayden and Konnor Fridley, Ryder and Rex Rapson and three great great grandsons Mason and Gabriel Hott, Keiden Fazenbaker.
Mrs. Lashley was a member of the St. Pauls Luthern Church, Frostburg.
Pallbearers will be grandsons Mathew and Marcus Lashley; great grandsons Tyler Boston, Codi Nicol, Atticus Nicol and Andrew Brust.
The family would like to thank Allegany County Nursing Home for their care and also the nurses on 7South at the WMHS.
