Scott Adam Keister, 59, of Frostburg passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2024, at his home surrounded by family.
Born on July 22, 1964, he is the son of the late Helen Eisler and Robert Keister. He is preceded in death by his in-laws, Jim and Nancy Moreland and his brother-in-law, Robert Booth.
Scott was a 1982 graduate of Oldtown High School. He retired from FCC Hazleton Bureau of Prisons and previously worked at FCI Cumberland. He began his career at R.H. Lapp. Scott was a member of the Cumberland Outdoor Club. He had a passion for playing sports, hunting, fishing, camping and enjoying a cold beer with his "camping buddies". Scott was a dedicated husband and father; his family was everything to him.
He is survived by his loving wife Kimila Keister; three sons, Kollin Keister and fiancé Katie Llewellyn, Mason Keister and significant other Abby Natolly, Hunter Keister and fiancé Emma Horner; siblings, Pam Campell and husband Tim, Penny Lavin and husband Harold, Greg Keister, Paula Booth; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, special friends Jim Snider, Bryan (Regis) Appel, Charlie Keister and Kevin McKenzie. He also leaves behind his beloved dog Willie.
Scott was cremated in accordance with his wishes.
Family and friends will be received at Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Avenue, Frostburg, MD on Sunday, January 28, 2024, from 12:00 to 1:00. A memorial service will follow at 1:00 with Pastor Rob Culler officiating.
