Sharon Noreen Wilson

September 20, 1949 — August 21, 2023

Frostburg

Sharon Noreen Wilson, 73, of Midland, peacefully, and unexpectedly, passed away at her home on August
21, 2023.

Sharon was born September 20, 1949 in Frostburg, MD to the late Viola (Barnes) and William “Tipper”
Wilson.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by 13 brothers and sisters. She is survived by sister
Shirley Zumpano, Frostburg, brothers Jim Wilson and Keith Wilson, both of Ohio.

Sharon was a 1967 graduate of Valley High School and was first and foremost a great mother raising her
sons. Sharon then worked retail sales for 10 years at the Bon-Ton in LaVale, MD, where she made many
wonderful friends. Sharon always took tremendous pride in maintaining a beautiful home.

In addition to her sister and brothers, Sharon leaves behind her beloved husband of 55 years, Ronald Wilson;
her three sons, Lee Wilson and wife Stacy, Nathan Wilson and partner Ann Neilson, Aaron Wilson and wife
Tracy, all of Frostburg; 6 grandchildren, Elle Wilson and fiancé Taylor Schmitz of Frederick MD, Erica
Wilson of Frostburg, Abbey Wilson of Colorado, Connor Wilson, Jacob “Jake” Wilson, and Grace Wilson
all of Frostburg. She also leaves behind her beloved dog and friend, Derby, whom she cared for like a child.
In addition, Sharon is survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Sharon cherished her beloved family more than life itself. She was so proud of her “boys” and “6 wonderful
grandchildren” whom she never grew tired of talking about. Sharon lived for family gatherings, events with
her grandchildren and always willing to make something special for them to enjoy. Sharon was an excellent
cook and spent hours making delicious meals and scouring the internet for new recipes to try with her family
and friends. Sharon lived life to the fullest and spent her life with Ron traveling and seeing new places.
Sharon had many great years at her second home in Myrtle Beach, SC, where she welcomed family and
friends to enjoy. Just prior to her death she hosted a wonderful party for friends in Myrtle Beach where they
laughed and enjoyed her creative dishes, laughter, and company.

Words cannot express how much Mom loved her family! Mom and Dad were high school sweethearts that
graduated side by side and were together until the end. Mom’s love will always have a special place in each
and every one of their broken hearts. Mom will be missed dearly by all, especially her husband, “3 boys”,
grandchildren, and dog Derby. Mom is now flying with the angels and being comforted by the Lord Jesus,
her family that has passed before her, and especially her mother and beloved brother, Donnie Wilson.

Family and friends will be received at Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Avenue, Frostburg, MD on Sunday,
September 24, 2023 from Noon to 3 P.M. A memorial service will follow at 3 P.M.

A private interment service will be held in the Frostburg Memorial Park at a later date.

Flowers can be sent to Durst Funeral Home. The Wilson family would like to express their sincere gratitude
for all the friends and family that reached out to provide meals and comfort during this difficult time.
