Stanley Edward “Butch” Neat, 77, passed away on Thursday, October 3, 2019, at WMHS Regional Medical Center.

Born on September 10, 1942, in Cumberland, he was the son of the late Edward Stanley and Wanda (Walker) Neat.

Butch was a graduate of Fort Hill High School.  He worked as a tractor-trailer driver until his retirement.

He was a member of the Frostburg Lions Club and Frostburg Eagles.  He enjoyed cooking, shooting pool and loved sports, especially the Green Bay Packers.  He loved family above all else and spending time with his grandchildren.

Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Elizabeth (Patterson) Neat; son, Steve Neat; daughter, Lori Neat; grandchildren, Brooke, Kara, Jaren, Schylar, Tatiana, Christopher, Kayla and Malique; and four great-grandchildren plus one on the way.

Family and friends will be received at Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Ave, Frostburg, MD, on Monday, October 7, 2019, from 12-1 pm. A funeral service will be held at 1 pm with Rev. George Harpold officiating.

Interment will follow in Frostburg Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations, in Mr. Neat’s name, be directed to the Frostburg Lions Club, P.O. Box 371, Frostburg, MD 21532
