Thomas "Dale" Parker, 96, passed away on September 15, 2026, at UMPC Western Maryland Hospital.

Born on June 12, 1930, to the late John F. and Margaret (Neilson) Parker. In addition to his parents, he is preceded by his wife of 65 years, LaDonna (Sluss) Parker, and brother, John "Jack" E. Parker. He was the last member of his immediate family.

Dale graduated from Beall High School Class of 1948. He was a lifetime member of St. John's Episcopal Church which he served in many position and was one of the oldest members at the time of his death. He married his childhood sweetheart, LaDonna Sluss Parker who was the love of his life. They were married for 65 years. Dale and his wife were professional roller skaters who performed with the USO during the Second World War. Dale worked for the Great Atlantic & Pacific Tea Company in Frostburg where he worked in the same store for 40 years. He was past president of Beall Alumni, Drum Major for the Arion Band for 45 years, and was a member of the American Legion for 52 years. He spent his entire life in Frostburg.

Surviving are his sister in laws, Sarah "Sally" Parker, Edwina Ann (Sluss) Day; niece, Sarah Parker and her children Addalyne and Parker McConnell; nephews, Scott Day, Chris Day and wife Jen, Dick Sluss and wife Carolyn as well as extended family.

Family and friends will be received on Friday, September, 18, 2026 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Avenue, Frostburg, MD.

A Funeral service will be at St. John's Episcopal Church, 52 South Broadway, Frostburg, MD on Saturday, September, 19, 2026 at 11 A.M. with Rev. Karen Crosby officiating.
