Wilbur Jenkins

Wilbur "Butch" James Jenkins Jr., 79, passed away on Monday, May 8, 2023 at UPMC Western Maryland Hospital.

Born on July 26, 1943. He was the son of the late Mary G. (Sponaugle) and Wilbur James Jenkins Sr. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his sister, Sandra Cook and his brother, H. Franklin Jenkins.

Butch was a U.S. veteran having served in the U.S. Navy and he worked as an insurance agent at Monumental before working with his brother at Jenkins Collision Center.

Surviving are his wife, Phyllis Ann Jenkins; daughter, Penny Lowrey and her husband Peter; and grandchildren, Paige and Katherine.

A memorial service will be held at Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Avenue, Frostburg, MD on Monday, June 19 at 11:00 a.m. with the Reverend Kevin Blanchard officiating. A reception will be held after at First English Baptist Church on East Main Street.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Martinsburg VA Medical Center.
