William Russell Carder

William Russell Carder, 83, of Finzel passed away on Saturday, September 19th, 2026, at UPMC Western Maryland, surrounded by his family. 

Bill owned and operated Carders Home Improvement and took great pride in the business he built and everything that he accomplished in his life for his family, who he enjoyed spending time with. He was known for his strong work ethic and willingness to help others whenever needed. 

He is preceded in death by his loving wife of 49 years, Donna (Clark) Carder; his siblings; Carol Izzett, Grace Albright, Bobby Carder, James Carder; and a special sister-in-law Kay Carder. 

He is survived by his children, Melissa Myers, Shaun Carder with Vanessa and Michelle Ritzert with Jason; grandchildren, Jaden Brown, Molly Ritzert, Olivia Fabbri and Madison Ward with Josh; great-grandchildren, Jameson and Jessalyn Ward; brothers, Denny Carder with Betty Jane, Melvin Carder and Darrell Carder with Beverly. 

Bill was cremated in accordance with his wishes, and a private family service will be held.
