Wilma Schutz

Wilma Price Schutz, 98, passed away on Monday, May 27, 2024 at Sterling Care Frostburg Village.

Born in Frostburg on December 7, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Emma Rankin Price and Daniel E. Price. In addition to her parents she was proceeded in death by her husband, Charles L. Schutz, a daughter, Cathy Mitchell and a sister, Bette Satzer.

Wilma is survived by a son, Craig (Marianne) Schutz, grandson Evan (Allyson) Schutz and great grandson Simon Schutz. Also son-in law, Dr. Frank Mitchell, grandson Brian (Lena) Mitchell and great grandchildren, Victoria and Andrew Mitchell, Wake Forrest, NC. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

"Schutz" and Wilma owned and operated Jeffries Bros. Jewelers on Main Street, in what is now the Princess Dining Room for approximately 35 years. She also worked for the Maryland Department of Social Services for 16 years.

Wilma was a life long member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Frostburg.

She was a member of Preceptor Alpha Alpha Sorority, Red Hats and the Frostburg Soroptimist. She enjoyed traveling and bus trips to casinos.

Friends and family will be received at Durst Funeral Home, 57 Frost Ave, Frostburg, MD on Thursday, May 30, 2024 from 4:00-6:00PM.

Funeral Service will be held at Durst Funeral Home on Friday, May 31, 2024 at 11 AM with Rev. Mark Molter officiating. Friends with be received one hour prior at 10 AM. Interment will be in Frostburg Memorial Park.

Memorials may be made to Saint Paul's Lutheran Church, 34 West Main St.,Frostburg, Maryland.
