Carl Paul Sr.

Carl Paul Sr., 81, passed away due to Covid on Monday, March 15, 2021 at UPMC Western Maryland Hospital.

Born on October 2, 1939 to the late Irvin Paul and Grace V. Meese. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Mary Faidley Paul; son, Ronald Lee Paul; granddaughter, Carol Ruth McKenzie; and grandson, Kyle Cody Stotler.

Carl served in the U.S. Army as a Helicopter Mechanic during the Vietnam Conflict. He worked as a Truck Driver for Tomar Keyser Heavy Equipment and was also a member of the Moose and an avid Patch card player.

Surviving are children; Carl Paul Jr. and wife Jackie of Port Bolivar, TX, Charlie Paul and wife Brenda of Ridgeley, WV, Tonia Stotler-Moore and husband Donald of Springfield, WV; lifelong friend and mother of children, Ruth Wagoner; step-son, Joseph Faidley and wife Stacey of Corriganville, MD; siblings, Pearl Short, Jean Montana, Harold Paul and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Family and friends will be received at Durst Funeral Home in Frostburg, MD on Saturday, March 20, 2021 from 11 am to 1pm. Service will follow at 1:00 pm with his son, Charlie Paul speaking. Masks will be required.

Interment will be at Emmanuel Methodist Church cemetery with Rev. DJ Ritchie officiating.

Pallbearers, William Carl Paul, Dustin Clay Paul, William Lewis Metheny III, Wyatt Dakota Stotler, Seth Merrit and Charles Edward Paul.
