Erma Leora Thompson, of Frostburg, peacefully passed away with family at her bedside on Friday, October 9th, 2020. Erma was born and raised in Frostburg until meeting the love of her life and soul mate, Roland L. Thompson.
Erma was born on February 10th, 1932 to the late Howard and Alma Holtzman of Frostburg. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband Roland L. Thompson; sisters, Geraldine Walls and Alma Jean Driscoll; brothers, Edward and Howard Holtzman; brother in-laws, Bud Driscoll and William Cuthbertson.
Surviving her are sister, Juanita and brother in-law Ralph Michaels of Gainesville FL; sister, Martha and brother in-law Harold Baker of Frostburg; sister, Virginia Cuthbertson of Frostburg; step-daughter, Holly (Thompson) Kiernan, Mantua, NJ, and numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
Erma was a graduate of Beall High School, class of 1950 and worked at the Frostburg Bakery. She and Roland (USA/R) enjoyed travel, cruises and spending time together doing karaoke and socializing with family and friends. Erma recently relocated back to Frostburg from St. Augustine, FL after the heart-breaking loss of husband Roland (Her Sweetie).
Erma will be laid to rest in Frostburg Memorial Park by a family grave-side service.
